    Small ring, and looks like large thread. Some advise to avoid high pressure rounds. I'll see if I can send pics of what Kuhnhausen said about it.

    If that receiver is small ring, with large thread barrel shank, then they can stretch. Just an FYI.

    And if they did clean the bore to any effect, then a fouling shot would be needed. Bore snakes are useless for anything except what you describe.

    You will lose velocity, which means less power. Expect to lose about 30 fps per inch. That means 120 fps, not the end of the world. But let's not forget the time and money spent chasing fps by manufacturers and reloaders alike. It does matter. That being said, I have a 338WM with a 20" bbl...
