I just hunted these particular concession with Ernest these October for 11 days with my two oldest sons. By far the best safari experience I had. True and honest hunting, good quality of trophies and an exceptional ph and host.
Hi,
I used them last year for dip and pack and will do the same this year. This year I visited their facilities on the way back to the airport and even had a friendly guided tour through their company.
Communication was perfect and the trophies last year arrived in Germany after only 3 months...
@rookhawk: thank you so much for that explanation. I agree 100%. I hunted Matetsi ECA two times- was really impressive, especially for my kids being 8 and 11 years at their first trip.
This Saturday we depart for our second trip to RSA with Ernest from Spear Safaris- really enjoyed the first...
I wonder if there are any updates so far? Had anyone new experience meanwhile? 4 weeks left until I leave to Johannesburg using Qatar so I really hope new rules and forms have become kind of routine…
That doesn’t sound good. I’m going to travel with Qatar in October with my rifles. Just to clarify: is this the procedure while checking in at the airport of your origin or while checking through in Doha?
I own 3 Blaser R8: 30-06, .300 Win Mag and .375 H&H mag. All 3 went to Africa several times and did great jobs. The 30-06 was the perfect gun to shoot for my kids…no better gun to travel!
Great story and nice bushbuck. I can only advice to let the kids participate while on safari. My two older sons- this year 11 and 14- join me this October for the third time on an African safari. They hunted some plains game and we always asked for a .22 to shoot some guinea fowl and things like...
I travelled alone (my wife staying at home with the youngest son) with my two kids to Zim and RSA. At that time they were 8 and 11. I had the same documents prepared without any notary confirmation.
Long story short: nobody was ever interested in this documents!
But: better to have them, that’s...
Thank you for all the offers, information and discussion. The choice is made and the hunt is booked. I’ll go for leopard in Namibia with Emile from Kou Kuas!
But I’ll definitely come back to some contacts for 2026!
I’m glad to have found this forum. It’s already the third trip I have booked...
Thank you for the advice! I’m in discussions with Tsala too, had a very good and promising video call with Rouan. The problem seems to be that there are almost too many good offers once you start to ask…
