Gents ,

we are in the process of building a new website for Henry Griffiths safaris,

we have a few ideas and want to make it more interactive and we are looking for ideas and suggestions

as a hunting client what would you like to see? layout? information? contact page? Payment options?

our old site is badly out dated and never got finished properly, this time we are doing it right please share any suggestion

we have an energetic young company in souths Africa that will handle it and we will be working with them closely over the next few weeks

thanks in advance

*Good reliable contacts section.

*Up to date hunting gallery, including previous years.

*Up to date lodging gallery.

*Areas hunted (general)

*Pricing. I know a lot of websites don’t include this but I usually don’t look further if it’s not there.

Just a few thoughts off the top.

thank you Mark,

Turn off for me, is when there is no prrice list.
So, price list must be included. Species and packages

Description of hunting area, especially the size.
Function for link on google map is welcome feature.

Detail procedures for gun import

Introdcution of entire team and PH.

List of countries that require visa and list of countries that dont require visa for their nationals.
(visa is great issue for me, and I am sure, for many others in international line of work)

Vicinity of other tourist attractions and possibility to visit. Other attractions are especially interesting for family type safari where not all clients hunt.

Recommendation of local taxidermist, that include some pricing, dip and pack, shipping etc.
If there is established channel with more or less predictable pricing for trophy shipping, this will be very attractive to many clients (as this information is often missing in entire safari budgeting)

List of species, and specifics how each species is hunted.

The web site can be like with permanent information, or with updated information.

But if it is with updated information, then it has to be maintained and refreshed periodically..
Blog and news is one thing that can be added, If you decide to have blog then it will require somebody to keep refreshing the news and articles.
To see old out of date information on web site, is not a good message.

List of contacts for references.

Options to hunt other animals, in other areas, additional pricing for travel, day rates or trophy fees.

Same for me, I quit when no prices.

Seeing something that says the company is actually in operation that year is important to me. A gallery labeled for the current year or a newsletter from the just finished season is best. There are a lot of websites with old photos that makes it difficult to tell if an outfitter is even still operating.

I am more of a technical writer and photographer than an interactive website and videographer. I don't have the words to describe "pizazz", or marketing hook. Whatever it is that will linger in my memory and draw me back to a website. As General George Patton is attributed to saying, "Whatever leadership is, I have it". Or I know pornography when I see it, or at least I used to...

So, whatever a great safari outfitter's website is, this is the best I've seen and enjoy re-watching the video;

They are a AH sponsor.

The video is about Africa, not the outfitter and how great they are. It's in the same concept as the videography for a movie such as Out of Africa. The outfitter/PH narrates and is confident but humble. Someone who I'd trust to back me up.

Hello Henry, let me say first that I find your offers reasonably priced and you always have an entry level hunt. It is just a matter of time before I get to enjoy one of your hunts.

With regards to the information I like to see prices, and where the hunt will be conducted. If in different areas, say so.

With regard to the general feel, please include a few pictures of the accommodations. Also a few pictures of the typical bush in the area. I recently went on a hunt in an area that could best be described as sheep paddocks. The game was good and plentiful, I still would have gone, but it helps to build your expectations on the right input.

Thank you Mark yes they have an awesome site, we are going to try do our own thing as much as possible and will work on something that highlight our Identity if that makes sense, I also don't have much PIZAZZ but will do what we can

Packages with prices and in today's world, videos.

yes Thank you we are planning to link to our YouTube, you are 100% correct about the video if a picture is a 1000 words, a video is a million!,

Current hunt reports written by clients and references, both U.S. and other countries

If travel to different hunting parcels is necessary, please include the details. Current prices and photos is a must. As described above any technical information is helpful, guns required, ammo preferred or recommended, rental guns available, import of guns, help with paperwork. packing list. Look forward to seeing the finished product.

Maybe a short paragraph about why it is important to hunt such things as giraffe and cow buffalo-showing why you do this and where the meat and hides go adds great Value
Current price list or “package” deals!

Would just add clear payment options…I too go no further if I don’t see pricing

Include an interactive google map with with your location so that I can see exactly where you are located and be able to find distances to other places such as the airport or tourist activities.
It really helps for trip planning without having to leave your website.

There are many points made so far that I agree with, such as clear pricing etc. I’m often trying to find more information about the actual hunting area than many sites provide, and most often just look elsewhere, sensing there is a reason for that ambiguity. Clarity about the size or sizes of the hunting areas, whether they are contiguous, whether you stay on the property you are hunting, and have exclusive use are very helpful. I think most clients will have interests and preferences in these things, so it’s best to just get that clarity up front.

My .02 cents,

1. Property sizes, not "we have access to xyz totalling xyz acres) Its nice to know right off the bat what size property(s) can be expected.

2. Updated gallery showing lodging, alive game as well as trophy photos, even some pictures of the food is nice.

3. Prices/packages clearly defined. As others have mentioned already, if I have to "request" prices Im moving on in my search.

4. Any sponsorships you may hold, ie AH, SCI ect ect.

5. A short promo video attached to your website describing the operation is an efficient way to shows lots of details in only a few short minutes.

Look forward to the updated, new and improved website once your all finished up.

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)
