Agreed. I always thought that I liked heavy engraving and "coin-finish" until I bought my first double with CCH and limited but tasteful scroll engraving. When I compare the 2 styles side by side now I can appreciate both but there is an understated class and elegance to the CCH and subtle scroll.

Beautiful rifle! If you have the opportunity, please post a photo or two of the underside of the receiver. I can see in one of the angled photos that it has engraving, but I'd like to have a better look at it. Thx

Hello All, This RSM converted to .450 Dakota recently sold on a popular sales site. I should have bought it, but didn't. Obviously, this is custom barrel work. Does anyone recognize this work? Or do you have a suggestion for a quality smith that could replicate this re-bore? I own several RSMs...

I have the same rifle in .45-70. I absolutely love it! A very high-quality firearm, in my opinion. They have a very classy, nostalgic feel to them. I'm working on 3 other purchases right now, but in the unlikely event that this is still available down the line, we might have to talk. GLWS!

Hey Bonk, Who did the barrel boring for you? I recently saw an RSM on GB in .450 Dakota, which obviously was a custom barrel job. I was going to buy it but I missed the end of the auction and it sold. I might look into having one of my others modified.
