Just my opinion...
My first heads came back from my taxidermist, horns were coated with something like black
shoe-polish. I didn't like it at all.(Springbock, Gemsbok, Blue wildebeest...)
Next heads I did myself (horns).
Linseed oil on Eland and Kudu worked great on these...
I have Lowa Renegades for 5 years now.
No break in needed, hold a good grip on the rocks in the Khomas Highlands!
They also keep my feet cool.

180 or 200 grain bullets of premium brand, A-frame, Oryx or similar.
Eland are big animals and Hartebeest are notoriously tough!

My second hunt with Khomas Highland resulted in magnificent Kudu and Eland.
