    Black owned hunting safari businesses?

Why would you want to know this? This forum steers clear of all racial issues and the ethnicity of the owner of the operator should be irrelevant. Looking at your joining date and terminology used, this seems to be a loaded question.

    Annealing 375 H&H Brass

Take a look at the following link --> https://quick-anneal.com/ I use one of these and can highly recommend it. Lots of useful info on their website.

    .470 NE Reloads and Fillers?

Does anyone use VV N560? It seems my rifle also likes the lower speed, I achieved my best groups at 2030fps.

Double Rifle Recoil On Trigger Hand

Thank you for the replies! It sounds like JJ is the "double whisperer", I just don't trust any gunsmith in South Africa enough to bend the trigger. I lengthened the stock by 0,5" with a spacer and new recoil pad, however the work was not up to standard and rather put back the original recoil pad.

Double Rifle Recoil On Trigger Hand

Thank you for the reference, that is exactly the problem.

Double Rifle Recoil On Trigger Hand

Morning fellow members, I'm looking to the collective knowledge of the seasoned double rifle marksmen. How do you manage the recoil on the trigger hand, especially on your middle finger caused by the trigger guard? The rifle in question is a Heym 89B in 470NE. Due to the size of the trigger...

Statistics 101: How To Actually Interpret Accuracy & Build Loads

If you use ballistic programs such as Quickload or Gordon's, it will significantly cut down the number of shots required to fine your accurate load. OBT will provide a scientific reference point, which you can then fine tune with the results you see on paper. I personally use Quickload and then...

    Swarovski Z6i not holding zero

I sent the scope back to the retailer, Optics Trade EU. They took over the process from there and it is back in South Africa. I haven't had a chance to mount and test it, the gun is currently at the gunsmith for some cosmetic work (engraved grip cap). Optics Trade are great to deal with, however...

SOUTH AFRICA: First Hunt With Alpha Pride Safaris

Sandgrouse are normally hunted in the Northern Cape, however the Kalahari stretches across North West Province as well. Unfortunately still out of season and over bag limit. This is the latest hunting proclamation that I could find for North West. I'm not throwing stones here, I'm merely...

SOUTH AFRICA: First Hunt With Alpha Pride Safaris

I'm really glad you enjoyed the hunt in SA! As a local wingshooter, the one thing that just really bothers me is the outfitters'/PHs' lack of respect for the bird seasons and numbers. Below is the Northern Cape Hunting Proclamation. Sandgrouse is definitely out of season during Sep-Oct and also...

Thoughts on the Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x44 Scope?

I mounted one on my 375H&H after an issue with a Z6i 1.7-10. The rifle is a CZ550 and the scope barely fits due to the open sights combined with the action cut-out and the short space behind the objective bell. It is not going to blow your hair back, but it will get the job done.

    Would you like a Cigar?

No, I’ll leave the wonderful penmanship to the international hunters… I was very lucky, the wind was perfect and the croc fast asleep. I used a 375H&H with a 300gr Peregrine VRG3 at around 2500fps and it performed really well!
