Also, and maybe it was said earlier. As you age your pupil accepts less light, it does not open as large as when young. It can be 30-40 percent less at 60 so all the potential light gathering is wasted.
Yes, her smiles tells it all. Congratulations on the hunt and for getting her the zebra even though she said she was done. So glad you were convinced to stay and her trophy was taken.
Fantastic write up and wonderful hunt. I hate reading these reports as much as I love reading them. I have to finish my last of 5 kids weddings this year in Portugal, then my Africa funds can rebuilt. We went to SA two years ago and my itch is unavoidable. Again big congratulations!
Likely nothing to us now. Agree that is a slope that gets steeper everyday. This administration sure is against the everyday person and the countries we called friends. I have never in my life seen such a train wreck.
Fantastic little write up. Fantastic Roe. I need to do that. Always enjoy your hunts. My first trip to Europe as a teen we visited Spain and the Alhambra and it will always stay in that vivid memory. After over 60 countries on my travels that trip provided a boast to my wanderlust which...
Maybe this has been answered? But what is actually the difference in cost not price to mass build (say Winchester) CRF vs push feed. I get all the markups that roll through to retail but does it really cost that much more?
Best for our Florida mosquitoes and deer flies is Shannon Bug Tamer. It’s a thin netted jacket or pants with a thick like fish net behind which keeps the mosquito net far away from your skin. I wear tee shirt and shorts under and hunting in September Florida heat stay relatively comfortable. I...
Love all 6 of mine. Can’t say a bad thing. A converted to 404, a 375, 300 HH pre 64, 7X57, Extreme Weather 270 WSM and 06. All control feed, various manufacturing places. No issues, all shoot well, and love to hunt.
I have $3,200 in my 404 done by Dennis Olsen a few years ago. Includes the donor rifle, metal work and stocking. It shoots wonderful but might not gain value but I doubt it will lose value.
I ended up buying a Winchester Super Grade, one of the Cabelas builds in 2013. First day at the range went well. I shoot factory. All loads from 140-158 Hendershots loads are MOA or very close. Plan on it being my number one for deer and hogs. Maybe Africa since it is a classic. Somewhat rounds...
Super glad you posted the video since I had previously missed your report. What a great write up and a fantastic adventure! Thanks for taking me along.
Many reasons but my belief as others have said is corruption. Many examples throughout history of the world as examples. You cannot become a “real” country without ridding corruption.
For me aisle,I still do long haul flights almost monthly and don’t really sleep anymore. I doze a couple of hours, get up walk around, read a lot and a movie or two. Delta premium select work perfectly for me but need aisle.
Loved my Ford Expeditions. Then moved into a few Chevy pickups. My sons all have Ford pickups give me grief but to be honest I love the Chevy step in the bumper corners. I never realized how many times I get into the bed and I really don’t want a fold out step. So come spring a new Chevy again.
