Cash money is ALWAYS the best tip. It will buy any of the "stuff" you think would be good items to give, but more importantly will pay for the things they need. Gifts should only be given as extras, or if clearly communicated that person receiving wants the item in lieu of money.

Looks like a multi-tone blonde/brunette top on it, and while there's a good view, you can't quite see if the carpet matches the exterior. But if I had to guess, I'd say it was removed.

Very true. But if the statement was a broad "(all) Kudu tend to have hair slippage on the ears" then its no longer about field treatment, unless its specific to an outfitter or consistent situation.

As mentioned already, I would be a bit skeptical of the quality this taxidermist can provide. If it's a known issue, anyone worth paying to do the work should know how to fix it. Or if he's just bad at his craft, he's already giving an excuse for why yours may turn out poorly. Perhaps go the...
