The Trijicon RM58 mount is what I use/have used on my Krieghoff, Heym, and Merkel.
These are usually available on eBay. Search for Trijicon RMR...
I use this Wheeler scope lapping tool when mounting scopes. These tools make it easy to properly align the rings:

Some of my hunting history with the aforementioned Heym 88B in 458 Winchester Magnum:
On the trail of a large elephant bull in Zimbabwe with the PH's 458 Lott Mark X
Large lioness in South Africa

“That double was my father’s. I hunted all over southern Africa with him. I videoed him harvesting a white Rhino in South Africa using that rifle. That double has also harvested numerous elephants and cape buffaloes in Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Mozambique. It has also harvested one lion...
I run Trijicon SRO's on my doubles.
Others like the smaller Trijicon RMR, Burris Fast Fire, and other brands.
I also have a Aimpoint H-1 for my Blaser S-2 double.
I recommend the "top loading" for battery for any reflex sight. The old style RMR Types 1 and 2 have bottom loading batteries...
Memorial Day causes me to think of those I knew who now occupy the empty chair at the table. It is good to remember them but when I do, I know why the World War II guys never spoke about their time at war. The same goes for the Korean and Vietnam conflict veterans. A couple WWII veterans advised...
A CZ 550 Safari is at most a $2000 rifle. We've watched a few for sale on this site sit for weeks at hundreds less than that.
Good wood for a restock will run $500 to $1500 or more. A professional stock maker (stocker?) will charge at least $1000 and probably more like $2000 or more for...

It was a very nice rifle that I sent to JJ...
For our friends who reside in countries that require firearms licenses and restrict how much ammunition they can buy every year, achieving 1 MOA for five rounds could be challenging. That would be even harder where handloading is illegal! But for those of us fortunate enough to reside where...
Since @Hunter-Habib invited me to this thread, at least he must want to read my thoughts on rimless cartridges in a double rifle…
The classic double rifle is a short-range powerful weapon providing the capability for a very fast second shot at dangerous game. I read long ago how the ivory...
A reflex (red dot) sight can be sighted in using the same procedure as sighting in rifle scope by:
Remove the bolt or barrels to look through the bore.
Mount in a padded vice or rest(s) so that the barrel will remain stationary.
Adjust the barrel(s) so that you can see a distant (the more...
The .416 Taylor is a necked down .458 Winchester. Just run .458 Win brass through a .416 Taylor full length sizing die and one has a .416 Taylor case, minus the correct headstamp for the cartridge.
The .416 Ruger was a good idea of a cartridge for standard length (.30-06 size) actions, without...
If the above Reagan humor wasn't enough, here are
"41 Enduring, Inspiring (and Funny) Quotes From Ronald Reagan 'The Great Communicator'" brought more than his love of jellybeans to the White House. He brought a mastery of communicating that has rarely been matched...
