The funny thing about these snacks is that you never know if the grain of the wafer is going to be plain and straight or highly figured. This particular package is from the "pre-warning" era. ;-)

Very nice! My late father had a somewhat similar looking one in his collection; my older brother has it now. We don't know the history of how Dad came to acquire it.
I found this Savage 111 in 270 Win at a cheap price on the used rack at my local Cabelas a few weeks back. I bought it more for the glossy Leupold Vari-X IIc 3-9x scope than for the gun; but assuming this thing can shoot like a Savage is supposed to, then it is likely to become a workhorse rifle.
