    Limpopo Bushbuck recommendations for 2025?

Might I suggest Charl Van Rooyen's Infinito Safaris. Just got back from a safari with Infinito, my 30th and my son in law's first. Had a great hunt and took a nice 15 inch Limpopo Bushbuck on Day 6. The concession is in the Limpopo Province so no question what sub-specie it is. That's 7 of...

ETHIOPIA: Northern Operations / Collect Africa / Dean Stobbs Safaris 2024

Great report and congrats on getting both species of bushbuck available in Ethiopia although I agree with your assessment of getting the mountain species on one hunt and desert on another. That's a lot of driving on African roads! And I felt your pain getting out of and into the country with...

Michael Sipple mauled by Cape buffalo prayer request

Wishing Michael a speedy and complete recovery. Wounded buffalo are tough adversaries! Kudos to his trackers who had the courage to take matters into their hands and save their PH and friend.

    My new Heym 404 Jeff

Nice! And one of my favorite calibers. With the number of guns floating around one would think more companies would come out with ammunition for it... so far just Hornady and Norma.

    340 Weatherby Mag

I have used a custom .340 Weatherby built by an old ACGG gunsmith, Don Dobbratz, for big game including elk and nilgai here in the states and mountain nyala and bushbuck in Ethiopia. I carried my .375 Ruger for my brown bear hunt but seriously considered the .340. With 225 grain Bear Claws, it...

CAMEROON: Another Great Hunt With Alan Vincent - Lord Derby Eland This Time

Congratulations again Dan on a fine, old LDE bull. What character. Also good to catch up on the rest of your trip. I'm going back in 2026, eleven years after my first trip to the savanna, this time for a buff/roan combo. I took a nice LDE bull in 2015 and a nice red buff but while I got...

270 grain vs 300grain which is better for cape buffalo and lioness

Check out Buffalo Bore ammunition for some different loadings for your .375 Ruger!

270 grain vs 300grain which is better for cape buffalo and lioness

I would use the 300 grain soft personally. For lion I would definitely stay away from solids. Good bullets abound for the .375... A-Frames, Trophy Bonded and Barnes TSX are some of my favorites.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Temporary Firearms Movement Restriction

Very true... this happened to me flying Turkish Air to Mongolia. The leg into Ulaan Bantor was actually the Mongolian airline even though showing Turkish and my rifle was left in Istanbul. Finally got it with one hunting day left on my trip! Always have your agent double-check when traveling...

NAMIBIA: Bwabwata With KOU KUAS ADVENTURES

Well done Ernest. I think I have heard that statement about "the last elephant" before. Here is to one more if possible... but if not, that was a fine bull and adventure to finish one's elephant hunting career with.

    Good Gun Deals This Week

See it had a reserve on it... for the life of me I don't know why they won't start it at the reserve price and save bidders the hassle of chasing the damn thing and then not get it with the top bid!

UNITED KINGDOM: Muntjac & Chinese Water Deer In Home Counties England

That is a fun hunt. I think Europe has some of the best "bang for buck" adventures in international hunting... pardon the pun! Congrats on your success and thanks for the report.
