After alot of online research, I recently bought some spf50 from Bondi Sands. It's advertised as fragrance free. I tested upon receiving it in the mail, I wouldn't call it odorless but it's probably the closest to it as you will find.
I have seen some of @gizmo work on this site and it's truly amazing. I fear his cost are going to be higher that those in RSA plus I'd have to get them from him in Texas to me in Michigan.
I'll reach out to him and see though.
I plan to have my taxidermy done in RSA and shipped back home to the states. I am wanting a pedistal base and african shield like the ones pictures below. Is it best to buy these from the taxidermist there and pay more for the freight, or have these items made locally?
As someone who has hunted whitetails, mulies an javelina in SE Arizona over the last 4 winters, but have not yet been to RSA, I often wonder how the 2 terrains will compare. I image the weather in RSA now will be very similar to what I've experienced during Arizona winters. I'd love to hear...
Has anyone used the cool and dry performance shirts by Columbia PFG? I like that they are lights weight, come in long sleeve and offer some spf. Again, I'm not worried about flies in RSA.
From what I've been told, make sure currency is 2011 and newer. There was alot of counterfeit of the older currency, so they only take the new colorful bills.
I browsed through this forum and didn't see much if any about observers tipping staff.
Here are our trip details and my initial thoughts on tips:
2 hunters and 2 observers headed to RSA for a 7 day plains game hunt.
Tracker = $50 per hunter, $100 total
Driver = $50 per hunter, $100 total...
I'm thinking about going this route with these 2 plains game animals being mounted together. I'd love to see some examples of this. Please share if you can.
